Mount Dov: 7 things you didn't know about the mountain that so annoys Hezbollah terrorists

About Mount Dov and the battles taking place around it:

  1. Geography: The western spur of Mount Hermon is known by its Hebrew name Har Dov or Mount Batyr. It is located on the western slopes of Mount Hermon and the border between it and Mount Hermon is Nahal Shion.
The outposts located on the Mount Dov ridge control the observation and fire on the vast development spread out at the foot of Mount Dov towards Lebanon (northwest), in the center of which is the village of Reger. The outposts on the top of Mount Dov are visible from a huge distance, which makes them a desirable and photographed target for the terrorists.
  2. origin of the name: The mountain is named after the late Captain Dov Rodberg, who was wounded in a battle with terrorists and died of his wounds in 1970.
  3. The outposts, which were established on the mountain: A number of IDF posts were built on the mountain. Some of them are right on the ridge line - visible in front of Hezbollah terrorists.
  4. The road going up to the top of the mountain: In 2000, a new road was paved, the purpose of which is to prevent damage to military vehicles moving between the outposts and this because the old road, named "Ma'ale Gideon" remains under fire control and observation by the Hezbollah organization. The old road was very steep and had sharp bends which posed a danger to the tanks and armored vehicles that climbed on caterpillars to the top of the mountain.
  5. The dispute with Lebanon: Originally, the area of Mount Dov and the village of Reger, like Mount Hermon, were in the possession of Syria, until the end of the Six Day War. With the withdrawal of the IDF from Lebanon in 2000, the border with Lebanon was established and signed by the UN that Mount Dov would remain in Israel's hands since it is Syrian territory subject to future peace agreements with Syria. However, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah claims that the agreement between Great Britain and France after the First World War states that the land of Mount Dov belongs to Lebanon (according to him, Lebanon's territory begins somewhere in the Garden of Galilee on the western coast of the State of Israel and ends on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee to the border triangle between Israel , Syria and Jordan). Since this is how Nasrallah stated that fighting against Israel in the territory of Mount Dov is part of maintaining the security, dignity and honor of the Lebanese nation).
  6. The history of the military events between Israel and Hezbollah on Mount Dov: In May 2000, with the withdrawal of the IDF from Lebanon after the border line between Israel and Lebanon had been fixed, Israel began establishing outposts on Mount Dov, as part of a project called "Morning Twilight". As soon as construction began, Hezbollah began shooting and harassing the construction process, when at the height of the conflict, he kidnapped Hezbollah 3 soldiers near the Gladiolia outpost in 2000 (sons of Avraham, Adi Avitan and Omar Souaed). Since then the IDF continued to occupy the mountain and it was used as an observation point and security area for the IDF for the South Lebanon area.
  7. Mount Dov in the War of Iron Swords: In the last two weeks, Hezbollah clarified that the IDF's entry into a ground operation in Gaza will bring the northern arena to the start of its campaign. Hezbollah, through its soldiers, has begun to carry out foot attacks and by means of anti-tank missiles and mortars, harasses and snipes daily at the Mount Dov outposts, and for them an attack on Mount Dov is an attack Legitimately, due to their understanding that the area is Lebanese and Arab land that the IDF did not clear.
In recent days, not a day goes by without combat attacks by the organization, which brought to the mountain area dozens of Lebanese Shiite terrorist operatives who together take part in the attempts to attack the IDF soldiers defending the line of outposts. Hezbollah tried to infiltrate through the mountain area unmanned aerial vehicles that were shot down by the air defense systems .

  1. 100% signs everything
Those who want to be blind have been closing their eyes and imagining seeing a rainbow for decades.
And there are many of them. The problem: they blinded the whole country like this.
When Arafat smuggled terrorists in his car at his entrance to Gaza, there he had to stop and tell him to go back, he turned to Tunis.

  2. Nassarallah is humble

The Arabs among us are "Israeli citizens", the vast majority of whom believe that the Jews should leave here
    Other
    will be destroyed
Continue to close your eyes and cover your ears...read the Palestinian treaty from 1964 where only Jews who were here before the Balfour Declaration will be allowed to stay. Haifa's vision documents. The Hamas treaty - but they don't want to read it. They don't learn Arabic. They speak Yiddish with Sinuar and Tibi.
That's why we got to what we got

  3. "Everything belongs to them" they want to conquer everything! We will fight to the end Nasrallah does not know what awaits him!!!!
