Kiryat Ata New parking arrangements in the city center

New parking arrangements in Kiryat Ata: paid regulated parking will be operated in the city center

The goal is to regulate the parking shortage and allow a high turnover of parking spaces for the business owners.
As announced during the month of April 2021, regulated paid parking will be operated in Kiryat Ata in the city center and on designated streets, with the aim of solving the parking shortage, creating additional and in-demand parking spaces and encouraging a rapid turnover of vehicles, in order to strengthen local businesses and provide residents with available parking.

Paid parking operates in all cities in Israel where there is a lot of vehicle traffic and vehicles are parked along central traffic routes, adjacent to the commercial areas, for many hours and in a way that prevents the alternating traffic of visitors required for an urban economy.

Residents living in the streets marked in blue and white can park free of charge, with a parking ticket issued by the Metropark company, at the link:

or through the municipal website, at the link:

The note is digital and confirmation of its receipt is received by email.

Paid parking is on Sunday-Thursday between the hours of 8:00-20:00 and on Fridays and holiday eves between the hours of 8:00-13:00. The price of regulated parking is NIS 3.55 per hour of parking in accordance with the municipal by-law, while parking is free for residents of the street who have a parking ticket. In addition, pensioners and those with a disabled card will be able to park free of charge.

The streets where parking will be marked blue and white:

Natan Spritzer, Independence, Zionism, Zebulon, Mandalay the bookseller, Shalom Aleichem, the Channel, Smolenskin, the ghetto rebels, Makor Baruch, Rabbi Shalom Saleh, the founders, Nachum Sokolov, Sderot Magginim, the tribes of Israel, Gilboa, the urban youth center and the Dor Alon gas station .
Residents of the city will be able to park at the sports park free of charge.

Starting from 7/4/21

Parking in most parts of the city remains free of charge and the municipality will continue to enforce the by-law for parking in all parts of the city for parking prohibited with red and white markings and/or on the sidewalks. The enforcement of parking in blue and white will begin on 4.7.21 when the company "Pango" and the company "Selopark" opened the payment options through the applications. At this time it will also be possible to pay using the meters.

Kiryat Ata Municipality stated:
Kiryat Ata joins all Israeli cities where there is regulated paid parking. The move will allow for a quick turnover of vehicles in the city center and will help to settle the difficulty in finding parking for a short period of time, both for the residents of the city and for the business owners."

  1. The municipality of Kiryat Ata issues another coupon, the municipality was denounced in the amount of 330.000.000. Yes, you see correctly, a parking lot was budgeted to solve the parking problems in the city center, towards the end of the construction, all the parking spaces were marked and the parking in the underground parking lot in the municipality will be charged. This is cheating at the expense of the residents They would drive like in the Haifa municipality, orange parking for city residents, 20 minute "buy and go" parking and the parking turnover would be resolved, but here coupons are issued in addition to tax payments, feeling cheated, there is no one to turn to, the mayor does not answer residents' letters on any issue, especially We have experienced a period of Corona where businesses have been damaged, there is little chance that residents will stop and park when there are shopping centers with free parking,,, and even during the Corona period, property tax debtors were not taken into consideration and were sent to the homes of debtors such as single parents and residents with discounts in light of their financial hardship, moving their homes to their homes on difficult days, Every body expressed consideration, the municipality of Kiryat Ata turned its back and acted insensitively, and there was no reference to the letters sent to the mayor of Kiryat Ata Mr. Yaakov Peretz. It will be a good time when council meetings will not vote as a herd after his decisions!!!

  2. This is how they elect a mayor from the Likud... no sense no worries. Just pay and pay

  3. How do you bring a child to kindergarten on a street with blue and white markings?
True, in all cities you pay for parking, but why from 8:00 a.m. to 20:00 p.m. Motzkin and in Bialik time from 9:00 to 19:00.

  4. Pensioners free of charge. What should I do for the inspector to know that the car was rented to a pensioner?

  5. It will only hurt business in Kiryat Ata.
I don't live in Kiryat Ata and I like to shop in Kiryat Ata because the parking is free.
I used to shop in Haifa and stopped shopping in Haifa because of the parking issue.
I think that the municipality of Kiryat Ata is trying to get people to enter the unsuccessful mall and do shopping in order to get free parking. Or we will park in the new city hall.
This tended to generate income for the municipality and the mall which is the municipality's foster child.
The municipality is not interested in the business owners and the residents as they portray.

  6. Everything is fine and acceptable
But a little criticism of our municipality
Write them an email on the website and ask for any reference, you will not get any service here.

  7. The mayor has probably run out of budget to finish the construction of the unnecessary city hall. He is looking for additional income from the parkings and the property taxes. Shame and shame on our city.
