Third time in one week
This is a record for me too.
Friday, seven o'clock train
August heat
Everyone was at home, I thought.
I sat down in the regular carriage.
Wonderful air conditioner
The sea and ships on the horizon, on the right
The Carmel Mountains on the left
Me, excitedly
For a great day in the big city.
I was right! A quiet car,
Clean, allows concentration
Something relaxed, exciting,
Towards carefully planned experiences.
Quiet, until the penultimate stop.
The one that changed the face of the trip.
From below, sounds of cheering were heard.
Surely they are as excited as I am for the fun.
On the last day of the week.
In a second, they charged down the stairs.
A group of children.
I didn't have time to raise my head.
They occupied four seats.
Next door to mine.
Immediately after them climb
Two pairs of parents
Loaded with backpacks
Taking their place
Two behind the children.
Two, in front of me.
The train as a concoction
The parents have an alert and loud conversation.
on electronic means of saving electricity,
From bench to bench, rising slightly
To update information about new products in the department.
The children....are taking out their wares.
One hand holds a pita that is probably a little dry.
Slowly crumbling on the floor
Second hand, putting effort into operating a mobile device.
"There's no battery, why didn't you charge it?"
A scream was heard.
"I claimed I didn't notice there was a problem."
The father apologizes.
"So what do you want me to do now?"
The child is difficult.
Immediately his feet are lifted up.
By kicking the one sitting across from him,
His eyes are like sparks of fire,
The mother in her gentle and polite voice:
"We don't do that, honey." Comment.

Sweetheart Continuing on, snatching a device
From the one sitting across from him
And again the mother in her calm voice: "Do you want us to go home?"
"Yes," the boy replies, "to bring the luggage!"
The legs are raised angrily on the seat.
And again they hurt the one sitting across from him
"I don't think so," the mother decides.
"So what?" the Crown Prince replies.
In the back, a father goes down to make a phone call.
Another mother enlists the help of her friend
Smiling, asking for help
"Let's behave ourselves," please.
The guys are shouting, cheering, laughing.
Four is as small as forty
The floor is slowly being covered.
All the best that ever was in backpacks.
The neighbor from the moshav turns to the parents
"When you came up, it was clean here…."
"So what?" the father replies from the electronic department.
of one of the factories,
"Willing to trade places with you"
I'll go down now and you... with the children.״

I love your writing so much, dear Hannah. You always manage to describe images in your writing that really come to life while reading.
I didn't understand what the moral here was about "cute," but there's undoubtedly a whiff of racism here, which is really not a cute thing...enough.
There is no moral.
There is simplicity, there is a fairly accurate description, there are literal quotes and… Mom's cutie goes wild.
And again, Hamoudi is asked to behave well.
And my mother's sweetheart turns into a car...
The most simple thing there is.
