Hundreds of animals are in the flooded farm
At the Shanti farm in Atlit, the rehabilitation farm for the rescue and rehabilitation of animals, there are about 350 animals of all kinds. Some of them joined recently after being extracted from the envelope. With the first winter the farm was flooded and the animals are in puddles of water and some of them drowned to death.
Inbal Kesem, who established the farm in 2019 and whose goals were to take care of and save animals that had almost lost hope and trust in humans and in the friendship between humans and animals, said in a face-to-face conversation:
Following the Iron Swords War, we took in many animals from the Otaf that joined the animals we rescued and are already on the farm. Today is Sunday 19/11/23 with the first serious winter, the rain flooded the whole farm and the animals are drowning to death. We have some dead bunnies and chickens and the dogs are in puddles of water and we are looking for art for them. In addition, I don't have enough shelters on the farm and we need professionals to come and set up shelters for us, which is the most important thing. Also people who can lift us the new cages we built for the wrap dogs because they are lower than the farm and this causes flooding and there are no closures on any side. All the farm animals are in puddles of water although most of them have a hiding place from above but below they are completely flooded with water.
