A resident of Tamra was arrested on suspicion of assault and rape of a resident of Haifa

The police arrested this morning (Thursday) a 21-year-old resident of Tamra, on suspicion of raping Vance last weekend, a 26-year-old young woman from Haifa, after he took her for a "ride" from the Kiryat area.

The investigation began at the beginning of the week as soon as the rape complaint was received at the Zebulon station, which claimed that after getting on a ride in the Kiryat area, she was forcibly taken to the Nesher factory area where she was violently raped by the driver. A special investigation team that was established, began an intensive investigation and after carrying out overt and covert operations, the suspect was identified and arrested this morning at his home.

The suspect was interrogated and later brought to the Magistrate's Court in Kiryat, for a hearing on the request to extend his detention.
