"Our main ceremony is one of the main events held by the association along with dozens of social events of various kinds. We see this ceremony as the main purpose of the Yad Ezer Association to Help a Friend. Our desire to preserve, perpetuate, remember and not forget the tragedy that befell the Jewish people is unceasing.
We are here to help survivors earn the days they still have left to live so they can smile and feel. It is our job to make sure that not a single survivor is left homeless, hungry for bread or abandoned. I am here to remind everyone that this day is one day a year and it is our duty to remember and do it every day of the year, 24 hours a day. Me and the volunteers do as much as we can, but sometimes we can't do everything. On this day, let's say to ourselves, especially to each other that it is our duty to remember but also to do."
