The "Haifa Race" is one of the challenging races held in Israel for a distance of 10 km, the first half of which consists of uphills and the second part of downhills. The final section [like the beginning] is run on a plain. This year, it was decided to add to the race, an additional 5 km long competitive course that left Magen Ham along Hanasi and Moriah boulevards up to Kiryat Safar square and back to Gan Ham.
The race was started by Deputy Mayor Hadva Almog, who said that in recent years Haifa has become a sports center that knows how to host and hold international sports competitions, such as the World Championship in Model 420 Sailing and the European Championship in Mountain Biking. These days, the magnificent football stadium is perfect in the southern entrances of the city. In Israel, after a few weeks ago, the state-of-the-art sports hall in Israel was inaugurated in the Romema neighborhood, adapted to the requirements of the European Basketball Association for hosting international basketball games.
