To mark the 65th anniversary of the State of Israel, the branch of the World Federation of Moroccan Jewry in Haifa, this year is holding the closing events of the Mimouna celebrations in cooperation with the Municipality of Haifa and the French Institute in Haifa
The branch of the World Federation of Moroccan Jewry in Haifa, headed by Yaakov Bezek, is holding this year, in cooperation with the city's culture department and the French Institute, the closing events of the Mimouna celebrations in Haifa. The festive events will be held in the gardens of the Gaston Deffer Center, located in the French Carmel. On the evening of the Feast of the Mimmuna, Tuesday 02nd of Nisan 2013, April 17, 00, starting at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.
The event plan was drawn up by the members of the federation's management in Haifa and is practically carried out by the organizational team headed by David Alon, the branch's treasurer.
The events will open from 19:00 with a festive reception - as per the best tradition, in the center's gardens, where tables will be set up, on which will be served from the traditional compound, Moroccan cookies, soft and hot drinks will be served with hot tea with mint, as is customary in this type of events.
Mayor Yona Yahav, key guests and the heads of the federation in the Haifa branch among them Yaakov Bezek, Shlomo Avitan M.M. The chairman of the branch and the chairman of the House of Representatives of the Histadrut, David Alon, Sima Shalom, Danny Amar, Yaakov Aguzi, Mazal Ranford, Amoyel Haim, Yaakov Gravely and others. Guests will be welcomed dressed in traditional colorful Moroccan costumes. In the square of the lower garden, a decorated tent will be set up, where a selected band will perform accompanied by authentic musicians who will entertain the festivities.
The tent will be furnished and decorated appropriately for the Mimuna holiday and special traditional tools and displays will be placed between its walls that express the spirit of the festivities. Among the invitees, elected officials, public figures, senior municipal officials and others.
At the end of the reception, the guests will watch the performance of "Mama", an original Moroccan-Hebrew musical show. The play is funny, exciting and surprising, written and directed by Hani Elimelech Herzl and the participating actors, Sylvia Vaknin, Moti Peretz, Fazit Elmaleh, Inbal Nalem, Lilian Abu, Jacqueline Harari. The content of the play is the story of a Moroccan family in the late seventies. The dreams, The mother who discovers and reveals her past and affects all the characters.
