Besmat School was founded by the Technion in the Hadar neighborhood in 1933 as a school designed to feed the prestigious institution.

For decades, the school has been at the forefront of scientific and technological education in Israel. Among the 20 graduates of the school, you can find leading figures in the Israeli and global hi-tech industry, including Intel's global vice president Molly Eden, Apple's global vice president Aharon Aharon, who currently serves as CEO of the Authority For innovation, Giora Shelgi, former CEO of Rafael, and many others.

The school's move to its new location in the Technology Center is part of the Haifa Municipality's overall strategic plan to promote technological education in the city in order to address the severe shortage of technological professionals in the IDF and in industry at all levels. With the move to our new residence, the school's students learn the methods used in the high-tech industry, develop innovative products and face complex technological challenges. The students of the school study advanced scientific subjects, including: mathematics, physics, chemistry and English, alongside technological studies, starting from the first year of middle school. The studies are aimed at a high-quality scientific and technological matriculation certificate, which will allow them to advance both in high school studies, and to integrate into elite technological units in the IDF and the world's leading hi-tech industry.

In the upper division there are four technology majors, all of which are taught at the level of 5 units - 10 units and the students do a final project. In addition to the subjects of the major, all students study the science subjects: mathematics, physics or chemistry as well as English at the level of 4-5 credits. The four majors: computers with a specialization in cyber defense, electronics with a specialization in microprocessors, mechanical engineering with a specialization in robotics and chemistry with a specialization in nano-chemistry. The students of the various majors are required to develop innovative products when the development is done in working groups consisting of the students of the various majors. When each student is required to contribute his part to the project according to his specialization. The development of the products, whose common denominator is a contribution to the public welfare, is carried out in the research departments of "Intel" in collaboration with the company's engineers.

The scientific-technological center to which the school moved was established in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, at a cost of NIS 28 million and it covers a total area of ​​over 3000 square meters. The center includes the most advanced and sophisticated teaching and demonstration equipment in the world, including robotics and electronics laboratories and computerized production systems. All of these are available to the students of the school and allow them to face technological challenges, carry out research using modern technologies, as well as in-depth exposure to the fields of robotics and machines, and practice using simulators.

The compatibility tests for the level will be held on 12.02.2018 at the technological center.
