"70 years ago, we shook off the dust of the crematoria, and established the State of Israel, of which we are all so proud. You, the survivors, the survivors serve as living testimony to the strengths that lie within the Jewish people. You emerged from the Nazi inferno full of pain and scars, but you did not give in to despair. You helped build the state , protect it, develop it. You started families and raised children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to glory. We have enormous gratitude towards you. Therefore, on this special day, International Holocaust Day, I want to emphasize three duties that we have:
The duty to prevent another holocaust,
The duty to remember those who perished in the Holocaust,
and the duty to take care of the welfare of Holocaust survivors.
I know that my husband, the Prime Minister, took care of special budgets just for you! Beyond this important aspect - I also mean to be interested in your story, your life and the intensity of the pain you went through. But there is compensation in the form of the children and youth who come to the hot house of 'Yad Ezer Haber' to be with you."
CEO and founder of the association - Shimon Sebag:
"International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2018 is an unusual day. On an ordinary day we don't get to think and understand that every minute we are on this earth in the State of Israel is almost a miracle. Because we have a tendency to forget the worst disaster that humanity and the Jewish people have known.
At the end of the ceremony, the first Holocaust museum of its kind, established by the Yad Ezer Association, was inaugurated. The museum is a testimony of people who survived the holocaust telling their story, living people who tell the stories of the hell and horror that went through in comparison time. The items displayed in the museum belong to people from the Holocaust who live with us and live in the hot house.
The curator and designer of the museum is Tami Siner, who herself was the daughter of Holocaust survivors from Auschwitz, tells about the difficulties in choosing the exhibits and the emotional difficulty in designing the museum in general
The museum is dedicated to the memory of Shmuel Ben Artzi, the father of the Prime Minister's wife Sara Netinahu
"The fact that people who survived the Holocaust tell their story to visitors is powerfulGod",
said Shalom Shtemberg, 93, a Holocaust survivor himself. "There are no such museums in the world where the survivors themselves describe the hell they went through."
| Inauguration of the Holocaust Museum:
Shimon Sebag and the Holocaust survivors did not hide their excitement from the moment the museum opened. Mrs. Sara Netanyahu removed the lot and cut the ribbon that officially inaugurated the museum. Afterwards, Mrs. Netanyahu toured the museum together with Holocaust survivors, and expressed great appreciation for the initiators of the idea and the huge investment.

| MK Dr. Anat Barko read a moving poem written by Beita, Tslil:
He is not a number/sound in his back
The number got up in the morning,
Sometimes he doesn't feel he has a reason,
The barber leans over to put on his torn shoes that are also waiting to be retired,
The number opens the door and does not bother to lock it,
The number is trying to gather strength to walk and not fall,
The teller sees an orphaned bench in a shady corner,
the number settles,
The number thinks how to reach the destination when his body is barely carrying,
The number rises and lets out a sigh,
The number continues to move and another half hour has passed.
The number finally arrives at its desired location,
The number knows that only thanks to this place will he be able to eat today,
The number looks up at the sky before opening the tin,
The number is not just a number,
He once had a mother, a father and a brother.
Like hunger, his number is tattooed to the worlds,
The number thought to himself,
Too bad there weren't any in the camps
bins
