New director of the Anthroposophical School: Mani Amram. Amram was the deputy director of the anthroposophical school in Bat Galim, Itai Paz
Today it was learned that the search committee chose Mani Amram, who until recently was the deputy director of the Anthroposophical School in Bat Galim, as the director of the school. As I recall, about two weeks ago, Dr. Shay Keren announced a week after being chosen to be the school principal that he was resigning from the position for personal reasons. Immediately after the announcement, the search committee was formed again in order to find a principal for the school as quickly as possible.
It should be noted that close to Keren's resignation notice, the outgoing director, Dr. Itai Paz, also announced that he would not continue working at the school as a counselor and teacher. He issued a letter to the parents in which he said goodbye to them after a year of establishing and managing the school. Paz did not enter the tender, but many of the school's parents contacted the municipality and the Ministry of Education in the district in order for Paz to run the school for another year as part of the process of establishing the school.
According to the parents, bringing a principal to the school, who does not know the anthroposophical method, may damage the image of the school. Therefore, there was opposition to Dr. Keren being the director, since he studied anthroposophy as part of his studies, but did not specialize in it. The fact that the person in charge is Paz's deputy means that the new principal will be from the school staff, familiar with the anthroposophical method, and the transition between principals should be simple and without particular difficulty.
