Dr. Shay Keren won the tender to run the anthroposophical school in Bat Galim, and he will replace the one who founded and ran the school in its first year, Itai Paz.
Dr. Shay Keren ends his work at the Nofim school in Ramat Begin. The parents and students rejoiced at his success in winning the tender to run the school, but regretted that he is ending his work at Nofim.
The parents at the Aliya school were very worried about the selection of the new principal, as they were not sure whether the chosen principal would have a background in the anthroposophical approach. It should be noted that during his studies Keren combined anthropology studies.
It should be noted that the Anthroposphy school replaces the Aliya school, which had a very small number of students. Paz and the pedagogical team managed to attract parents and children from the Bat Galim neighborhood as well as other neighborhoods in the city (the school is regional, and you can register for it from all over the city). What was very important to the parents was to continue the success of the school, which they claim stems from Paz's special personality, from the support of the city and the Ministry of Education in the district, and also because of the anthroposophical approach.
The parents repeatedly emphasized that children who, until the current school year, did not want to get up in the morning and go to school, started walking happily and waiting for the next school day. This is partly due to the fact that alongside the core studies, the students learn other subjects such as circus (spinning), carpentry and other handicrafts.
The school also got a central place in the neighborhood, in addition to being an educational institution, because it had classes and after-hours outside of school hours and part of the new teaching staff moved to live in Bat Galim. According to residents of the neighborhood, they felt that the fact that they have a successful school in the neighborhood, which also attracts children from neighborhoods of a relatively high socio-economic level, promotes the neighborhood.

The outgoing director, Itai Paz in a letter: "personal persecution"
In an unprecedented letter, which the outgoing Paz school principal sent today to the parents, he claims that the parents and the pedagogical staff at the school will be able to decide whether to cooperate with the elected principal at the school. As I recall, in the last few days a tender was held to find a director for the school, since Paz founded the school and knew from the beginning of the employment that he would manage the school for one year only, and would not be able to participate in the tender for the management of the school. According to Paz, the fact that he does not participate in the tender is a personal persecution, but the tender is done by the Ministry of Education in the district and according to fixed rules. According to the rules, in order to manage an elementary school, a teaching certificate is needed. Paz did not participate in the tender because he does not have a teaching certificate, but in the letter he sent he points an accusing finger at the municipality and the Ministry of Education in the district.
The parents decided to disavow Paz's words and informed the municipality that they greatly appreciate the large investment in the school in the neighborhood, and what is important to them is that the director's position be transferred from Paz to the foundation in the best way so that the school's achievements are not harmed. At the same time, they do not share the harsh claims that Paz allegedly makes on their behalf, and believe that in the next academic year the school's students will succeed pedagogically while maintaining the school's image.
There is concern on the part of the parents that the principal has been replaced at this stage. In which the establishment procedure has not been completed, it will harm the stability of the school and they are trying to reach negotiations with the municipality.
