Ha'atzmaut Street is closed to vehicle traffic for work to remove danger in nearby buildings following Missile hit
Independence Street continues to be closed to vehicle traffic, in the section between the Independence-Banks intersection and the Independence-Serayah intersection to the north, and from the entrance to Independence Street to Shaar Palmer Street to the south.
The closure of the section is required to continue treatment of the facades of buildings that were damaged following the missile strike in the area late last week. As part of the work, loose parts that could endanger the safety of pedestrians and traffic on nearby streets are being removed and reinforced.
Below is a breakdown of the changes in traffic arrangements:
For those coming from the north:
The entrance to Ha'atzmaut Street is blocked and traffic is diverted to the left, with the option of continuing right onto Maghinim Boulevard or left onto Palim Boulevard.
For those coming from the south:
Vehicles arriving on Independence Street are directed to Bankim Street, and from there they can continue straight to Haginim Boulevard.
Chiat Street – The right turn onto Ha’atzmaut Street is blocked. You can continue straight onto Sha’ar Palmer Street or turn left onto Ha’atzmaut Street heading south.
The public parking lot on Captain Steve Street and the "Zim" parking lot on Nathanson Street are closed to vehicles.
