"Crown Iris", another round of rescue voyages
This morning (Sunday 22/06/25) the ship "Crown Iris" en route from Limassol to the port of Ashdod was delayed for several hours due to the security situation, according to the Home Front Command's instructions. Passengers were informed on board of the delay while they were having breakfast.
After the passengers disembarked in an expedited process, the passengers who wanted to leave Israel for Cyprus began to be accepted. The departure process was also carried out at a rapid pace, with the assistance of Ashdod Port employees and a reinforced team of border control workers and shipping workers on the ship and in the company's cargo hold.
Moshe Mano, owner and chairman of Mano Shipping, and his son Moran, CEO of the company:
"Since late last night, we have been in contact with security agencies to ensure the safety and security of the thousands of passengers on the ship, who have accepted the decision to delay with great understanding."
The cruise scheduled to depart for Limassol will arrive at its destination without delay. The return cruise will depart from Limassol on Monday (23/06/25) with approximately 1,900 sailors who will make their way to Israel and arrive on Tuesday (24/03/25) morning.
It is important to note that the return cruises to Israel have been successful so far, and now cruises have been added where it is possible to depart from Israel to Cyprus. The continuation of the cruise program during the week and the room reservation process will be announced later.
During all cruises on the "Crown Iris, which has 750 rooms and 650 crew members, passengers enjoy all the hotel services available on the cruise ship, a 5-star "floating hotel" including 3 chef meals, international entertainment, diverse activities and more.
When one Manu ship makes one or two rescue trips, dozens of rescue flights are made from Cyprus to Aqaba, by the TUS company...
Well done to Manu…
