Haifa joins "Nimrod's portion": hoping for the return of the kidnapped soldier

Tomorrow (Tuesday, 15/7/2025) the soldier kidnapped from Rehovot, Nimrod Cohen, will commemorate...

(haipo) – Amalia Levy, a resident of Bat Yam, was left destitute after a missile destroyed the building in which she lived.
She was rescued wearing only her clothes, and is now acclimating to her son's house in Haifa.

On the night between Saturday night and Sunday, at 4 a.m., an alarm pierced the silence in Bat Yam.
Six minutes later – a loud explosion. A heavy missile hit the building next to Amalia Levy's residence.
The force of the blast collapses the building. The property, the objects, the memories – everything is lost in an instant.

"I went out in my pajamas and flip-flops"

Amalia, 65, lived in the same house for decades.
In an interview with "Hai Fe" she says that she was saved by staying in a shelter at the time of the attack. Since Sunday afternoon she has been staying at her son's house in Haifa - destitute.

"I went out in my pajamas and flip-flops. I have no clothes, I have no shoes, I have no home. Everything I had was buried under the rubble."

Alongside the sense of loss, Amalia also wants to convey a clear message: not to underestimate the alarms, and not to rush back to routine when everything seems quiet.

"My home camera clearly shows – an alarm went off, then it went quiet, then… boom! Six minutes later – a missile. It's confusing. My building was hit very hard, and the building next door was destroyed. That could have been the end of my story."

Amalia pleads with the public: "Please, listen to the Home Front Command. Do not leave the battalion headquarters or the shelter until you receive permission. The silence after an alarm can be misleading."

The devastation that Amalia experienced should not leave her alone. She would be happy to receive help, basic, first aid, so that she can get through these difficult days with dignity: size 44 clothes and size 35 shoes.
For a 65-year-old woman who lost her entire world in an instant, we are the hope now. For donations and assistance, please contact Amalia at 052-830-4187.

  1. Where is the state? The authorities? What is this neglect of people who lost their homes through no fault of their own? Have they become collection points for donations? This is the first issue to address and transfer the budgets to those who deserve it!!@@ Dear Amalia. I hope you recover soon.

  2. To all the kind-hearted people of Haifa. I am Amalia Levy from the article. I am slowly coming out of the shock and now I am in another shock. I am surrounded by you. Good people who do not know me and who mobilized in an instant and reached out to me with a hug of support and the collection of basic products that were missing. This goodness is not obvious and self-evident. A beautiful nation with beautiful people. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone. I wish you all the best in the world.

  3. Cheers to the Haifa website that posted the article. Cheers and respect to the Haifaim who have already begun to help. Amalia Levy expressed great excitement about the assistance she is receiving. This is appropriate in these trying times. I hope it remains so when we return to normal.

  4. Like with the 7.10/XNUMX evacuees who stayed in hotels in Haifa, I think the Wizo clothing in Moria has a solution.
(Offered a selection of quality clothing at no cost)

    • What happened, did the Revolutionary Guards wake up on their own behalf? Hahaha, what's the connection, dear, you piece of shit? For the principle of your malignant disease, we should have received an atom bomb on our heads. Go away, not my brother, you Israel hater. While our soldiers are dishonoring their souls, you are dishonoring your tongues with poison. You are not a grain of dust on the shoe of the warriors I raised.
