President of the State Yitzhak Herzog visited today (Wednesday, 18/6/2025) the city of Tamra, located in the Lower Galilee, where he consoled the Khatib, Diab and Abu Al-Hija families for the loss of four of the family's daughters, Manar Al-Qassem Abu Al-Hija Khatib, 45 years old, her daughters Hala, 13 years old, and Shada, 20 years old, and their relative Manar Diab Khatib, 41 years old, who were murdered in the murderous Iranian missile attack that fell on Tamra last Saturday night (14/6/2025). The four were laid to rest yesterday in the cemetery in Tamra.

The President expressed his deep sorrow to all residents of the city of Tamra for the disaster that befell them, the city, and the entire community.

During the visit to Tamra, President Yitzhak Herzog said: "Michal and I came here to tell everyone - to all the residents of Tamra, to all the residents of Arab society in Israel and to all citizens of the State of Israel, we are all sisters and brothers, there is no difference between Muslims, Christians, Druze and Jews. We are all here together, we all believe in living together. We are here with grieving families who have gone through the worst of all because of criminal missiles launched by our enemies in Iran, enemies who truly do not distinguish between blood and blood, they care about nothing, only to murder, and we are here to strengthen, love, and embrace."

President Herzog added: "I strongly condemn all the racist and hateful videos that were filmed that evening, and I want to tell all of you, this is a minority within a minority. I receive responses from all citizens of the country, we all believe in living together in this country, we are all daughters and sons of God, we will all overcome together and we will all see the day after, the day when Jews and Arabs will live in peace, and Israel and all its neighborhoods, both the Palestinians and the Israelis and the peoples in the region will live in peace."
"We are very sorry for the terrible tragedy and the loss of the girls, flowers that were picked from us, amazing women. The terrible pain of the husbands, parents, sisters, brothers, grandparents and grandmothers is great. We come to comfort on behalf of an entire people and tell you that we are by your side, hugging you and praying that you will know comfort and solace in your lives. May we know quiet days, days of peace, compassion and love."
