(Hai Pa) – The Bazan Group (oil refineries) announced yesterday (Monday, 16/6/25) in a public announcement to the stock exchange that, following a direct hit to the company's premises, the rear power plant, which is responsible for part of the steam and electricity production used by the group's facilities, was damaged. As a result of the hit, the activities of the refinery facilities and subsidiaries operating on the site were completely shut down.
In addition to the damage to infrastructure, the company confirmed that three of its employees were killed. "The company shares the deep sorrow of the families and sends its sincere condolences," Bazan management said.
The company is working in collaboration with the Israel Electric Company, which immediately mobilized to enable an alternative power supply to the complex. At the same time, a comprehensive damage assessment is being conducted to assess the additional damage and examine the best ways to address it.
Bazan also stated that the company is examining the impact of the event on its business activities and financial results. This is done, among other things, while examining its rights in accordance with the Property Tax and Compensation Fund Law (1961 - XNUMX), as well as the insurance policies in its possession, which cover war and terrorism damages.

Two injuries, three deaths
As you may recall, in the Iranian missile attack on Saturday night (14/6/25), there was a localized damage to the pipelines in the refinery complex (BAZN) in Haifa Bay. And in the second attack on the night of Sunday to Monday (16/6/25), there was significant damage to the power plant, and as a result of the aforementioned attack, three company employees who were in a nearby building were killed.
