(haipo) – As part of the fight waged by the Israel Police against the drug scourge, 9 drug laboratories with over 6 kg were uncovered today (Monday, June 2025, 2) in residential apartments in the suburbs by Coastal District police officers.
420 seedlings weighing over 100 kg of a drug suspected of being marijuana were discovered in 2 laboratories in the Krayot.
The Israel Police reported to the News Corporation and the surrounding area: As part of the uncompromising fight that the Israel Police is waging against the scourge of drugs, with an emphasis on cultivation and trafficking that endanger public safety, police officers in the Coastal District conducted proactive and targeted activity against these offenses.
During the operation, the police uncovered two drug laboratories in Kiryat Ata, including over 420 seedlings of a substance suspected of being a drug, grown under laboratory conditions - with a total weight of over 100 kilograms, suspected of being a type of marijuana.
The police arrested for questioning three suspects in the operation of the laboratories – residents of Kiryat Motzkin and Kiryat Ata, in their 30s. The court granted the police request and extended the detention of one of them until 11.06.25.
All of the findings were transferred to the forensics laboratories of the Israel Police for evidence extraction.
Every year we repeatedly consume tools that were discovered from laboratories. Renting houses and having their son take them inside the house to the laboratory. There are families who have suffered. Because they used these plants inside the house to grow and need water for growth and they have suffered from dampness around the walls of the house. It is scary because these are families who have no connection to the plant growers.
