(haipo) – Over the weekend (Saturday, 7.6.25), officers from the Coastal District of the Israel Police conducted an operational operation to locate and thwart the possession of illegal weapons. In operations carried out in two locations – Haifa and Kfar Yarka – various types of weapons were seized, and two suspects were arrested for questioning.
Raid in Hadar neighborhood – Glock weapon and ammunition seized in apartment
During a proactive operation on Yona Street in the Hadar neighborhood of Haifa, police raided a residential compound, where a Glock pistol and a loaded magazine were found, which were suspected of being disposed of to commit a crime. The suspect, a 26-year-old resident of Haifa, was arrested at the scene and taken for questioning at the city police station.

Weapons found in Kfar Yarka – Zev pistol found in vehicle during travel
In another operation by detectives from the Western Galilee Station, a suspicious vehicle was identified while traveling in the village of Yarka. A search of the scene revealed a Zev pistol, loaded with a cartridge, which had been disposed of in the vehicle.
The driver, a 36-year-old resident of Rama, was detained for questioning and was subsequently imprisoned. His detention was extended by the court until Wednesday, 11.6.25, in accordance with the police request and the findings of the investigation.

The Israel Police emphasized that the fight against the possession of illegal weapons continues with determination and initiative, as part of an overall effort to thwart serious offenses and maintain public safety.
