A very large amount of drugs in a house in Kiryat Ata

The suspicion: During a drug trafficking house arrest and a raid by Coastal District police from the Zevulun station on a house in Kiryat Ata, an unusual amount of approximately 40 kilograms of substances suspected of being marijuana and hashish were seized.
4 suspects, residents of Kiryat Ata, including the 32-year-old main suspect, were arrested for questioning, at the end of which they were imprisoned.

As part of the Coastal District Police Department's fight against the drug scourge, with an emphasis on trafficking and distribution from residential apartments, detectives from the Zevulun Station, in cooperation with fighters from the "Asher" Special Operations Command, raided a house in Kiryat Ata over the weekend in a proactive and coordinated operation where a suspect under active house arrest was staying. During a search, the place was revealed to be a suspected drug distribution location - with dozens of kilograms of illegal substances and distribution equipment.

During the search inside the house, the following were seized:

• A substance suspected to be marijuana weighing approximately 34 kilograms
• Suspected hashish weighing approximately 3 kg
• Cookies containing a substance suspected of being a drug – 2 kg
• Electronic cigarettes with substance suspected to be marijuana
• Liquid vials of a substance suspected of being a marijuana-type drug – with a total weight of approximately 1 kg.
• Thousands of distribution bags

As stated, 4 suspects, residents of Kiryat Ata, were arrested for questioning and subsequently imprisoned.
In accordance with the needs of the investigation and its findings, the court granted the police request and extended their detention until today and some until 26.05.25.
