Sad and moving: Maccabi Haifa players played with the name of the late Kinda

In the shadow of the heavy and deep mourning that fell on the Maccabi Haifa Football Club this week following the death of the team's player, the late Gadi Kinda, the Maccabi Haifa Greens played tonight (Saturday, May 24.5.2025, 36) in the away game as part of the final round of the 2024th round of the Premier League's top playoff games for the 2025/31 season against Maccabi Netanya and held a moving commemoration in the shadow of the tragic death of the team's midfielder, the late Gadi Kinda, who passed away this week after a serious illness at the age of only XNUMX.

In the Maccabi Haifa fan stands, a huge, wide sign was placed with the image of the late Gadi Kinda and his name, and next to it the sentence: "Your name is engraved on the stone, only love remains in my heart." On the black shirts of the team players was written: "Gadi Kinda, the late 1994-2025, in our hearts forever."

Besides the moving and respectful ceremony in memory of the late Kinda held before the opening whistle of the match between the teams at the "Miriam" Stadium in Netanya, all Maccabi Haifa players took to the field with the name "Kinda" on the back of their shirts instead of their last names, and played like that throughout the game, with only the shirt numbers remaining according to the original numbers of the team's players, sad and moving indeed.

A minute of silence was also held in Kinda's memory before the opening whistle, the entire audience, along with the players and coaching staff, applauded and chanted Kinda's name. In addition, all Maccabi Haifa players came up with Kinda's name on the back of their shirts, and the Diamonds played in black shirts as a tribute. Also, in the sixth minute, as Gadi Kinda's number, the game was stopped and more applause was heard in the stadium.
