(haipo) – In the shadow of the heavy and deep mourning that fell on Maccabi Haifa Football Club this week with the death of the team's player, the late Gadi Kinda, Maccabi Haifa continues to prepare for the last game of the 2024/2025 season in the Premier League, which will be held this coming Saturday away against Maccabi Netanya.
At the same time, Maccabi Haifa continues to remember the late Gadi Kinda in a memorial corner that was established today at the entrance to the Maccabi Haifa Museum located in the "Sami Ofer" Stadium in memory of Gadi Kinda, with a graffiti painting by artist Benzi Bropman, who painted many of the team's players, as well as its past players.
Fans from all teams and in general are invited to come, light a candle in memory of Gadi and pay their respects. You can arrive tomorrow (Friday, 23/5/2025) until 14:00 PM, (a large memorial candle will be lit before Shabbat begins, after which candles will not be lit). And on Shabbat between 10:00 AM and 16:00 PM. After Shabbat, the painting will be transferred to the Kinda family.
Meanwhile, it should be noted that at today's training session, at the players' meeting, Itzik Ovadia, CEO of Maccabi Haifa Football Club, spoke and said: "We are all in pain and saddened by the tragedy. It is difficult to digest the reality that Gadi is no longer with us. We are here for you. For any help, contact us. We will help as much as possible. Each of us deals with the difficulty in a different way. However, we are committed to honoring his legacy and performing in the last game in the most honorable way. In moments like these, we need to be together and support each other."
Painting in his memory
Graffiti artist Benzi Bropman told “Hai Peh – News Corporation”: “I have already painted quite a few portraits of Maccabi Haifa players, including past players, but I never imagined that I would have to paint the late Gadi Kinda under such painful and sad circumstances.
For me and for all of us – football fans – this is a difficult loss. At the end of the week, I will pass the painting on to the Kinda family, and I hope with all my heart that it can brighten up these dark days for them a little.
The late Gadi Kinda will be remembered in my heart forever.”
