The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental Protection informed Hai Pa News Corporation:
The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental Protection report abnormal results in water sampling carried out to examine the state of pollution in certain streams in the north of the country and therefore inform travelers and the local authorities that entering these streams may be dangerous
The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental Protection inform the traveling public and regional and local councils of unusual results in water sampling carried out to examine the pollution status in streams in the north. Bacterial tests in samples taken on May 20, 2025, found results in several streams in the north that deviate from the Ministry of Health recommendations (400 fecal coliforms in 100 ml) and indicate the presence of water pollution.
The results obtained:
- Hatzbani – hydroelectric station: 1,050; Jordan estuary: 3,000.
- Jordan – Yosef Bridge: 1,800; Lehavot Bashan Bridge: 600; Hachamisha Bridge: 560; Dudot Bridge: 530; Arik Bridge: 500.
- The hexagon pool: 1,900.
- Zachary: 1,700.
- El Al: 1,750.
- Jilbon - Mefal Deborah: 470.
- Tzalmon – Carob Pool: 600; Flour Station: 1,150.
- Kziv- Ein Hadalit: 540.
In view of these results, entering these streams may be dangerous until the obtained sampling results are normal and stable:
- Hatzbani – from a hydroelectric station to the Jordan estuary.
- Jordan – from Joseph Bridge to the Hamishia Bridge and from the Dudot Bridge to the mouth of the Sea of Galilee.
- Hex pool.
- Zaki
- Al Al
- Gilbon.
- Zalmon
- Kaziv - Mustard Eye.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection found no known source of pollution in the streams.
Normally, sampling is done from a sample once every two weeks through Nature and Parks Authority inspectors, at fixed sampling points in the northern streams (in the Upper Galilee, the Golan, and the Western Galilee). The dots represent a waterfall, a pond or a section of a stream. The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental Protection continue sampling and monitoring and will update as necessary.
