Haifa • Residents report booms – source under investigation

(live here) – Many reports have been received in the last hour by the "Haifa" system from residents of Haifa, who reported hearing loud booms throughout the city, especially in the downtown area.

Many of the callers expressed concern about the unusual noise, which caused anxiety among some residents, especially given the sensitive security situation. Some reported hearing the booms several times in a row, creating a sense of uncertainty throughout the city.

The "Hai Pa" system contacted relevant authorities for an investigation. The hospital reported: "The booms did not originate with us."
The police said the matter is under investigation. We will update with additional details as they are received.
