(Hai Fa) – The Avraham Ginzburg Playground and Basketball Court, located on the corner of November 2nd and Zionist Boulevard, across from the Sculpture Garden in Haifa, is in a dismal state of complete neglect. Although the garden is located in the heart of a neighborhood populated by young families and children, instead of being a center of recreation and leisure, it stands desolate, ruined, and neglected.

The picture on the ground speaks for itself: broken paths, crumbling benches, tall, overgrown weeds, all of which give the garden the appearance of a place forgotten by the heart and the eye. The great bewilderment stems from the fact that while the garden itself is in poor condition, the sign bearing its name has been recently renovated and renovated. The sight of a crumbling garden under a shiny sign creates a jarring sense of disconnection and a lack of understanding of priorities.

One of the area's residents who contacted the "Hai Pe" system expressed his frustration: "This is the only basketball court in the area. If not a playground, they could at least develop a garden here with fitness facilities, maybe even a small cafe and public toilets. There is so much potential here - how can the municipality not see it?"
This becomes even more important when you consider the central location of the garden, next to the Sculpture Garden, which is a popular attraction for tourists and visitors. Residents wonder why there is no comprehensive thinking about the public space, which could transform the place into a green, well-kept corner that is beneficial to the entire community. The neglect of the garden is not just an aesthetic issue; it sends a worrying message about the municipality's attitude towards public spaces and the well-being of residents.
A budget for the overall renovation of the complex is not currently available from the municipality.
Will someone in the Haifa Municipality take up the gauntlet and make the necessary upgrade? Or will the renovated sign remain as a lonely symbol of something that was once intended to be a lively and vibrant place and is now just a sad memory.
The Haifa Municipality informed Haifa: "The Haifa Municipality is aware of the condition of the Avraham Ginzburg Garden. The garden paths and landscaping are regularly maintained, but a complete renovation of the complex, including the basketball court, is estimated at approximately two million NIS, a budget that is not currently available. The issue will be examined within the framework of the municipality's multi-year work plan."

What else is left to say in front of a basketball court with trees growing out of the cracks?
This is probably the most symbolic thing about Haifa's situation.
The park has been in this state for 10 years, since Yahav's previous term.
The man simply doesn't care because you can't see the garden from the roads. He just plants flowers on the roads because cars pass by.
That's why all the public parks in Haifa are very neglected. The work plan is only for those that are visible from the roads.
This is not a joke, this is the twisted thinking of the bad city manager and the delusional mayor that the residents here brought back to power. Just think about which city in Israel you have seen a basketball court look like this.
And this is the city with the second highest property tax in Israel!!!
Municipal employees with huge salaries and the entire city suffering from neglect
