Which airlines have resumed operations in Israel, and which have not yet?
(live here) – Despite preparations for the summer and holiday season, the aviation situation in Israel is still far from normal. While several airlines have already resumed operations to and from Israel, many others continue to postpone their return date – some to the end of May, and others even much beyond that.
As you may recall, on May 3, a missile was launched from Yemen that exploded near Ben Gurion Airport. The event led to the immediate cancellation of many flights by foreign airlines. Although it was a one-off cancellation, the almost daily launches towards the central region, alongside temporary closures of Israeli skies for an hour or two at a time, reinforced the sense of uncertainty. The result: many companies extended the suspension of operations, and additional companies even joined them.
Especially during the season when many Israelis usually go on family vacations and trips abroad, concerns are growing – will the flight take place, or will it be canceled at the last minute? Many passengers are following airline updates religiously, hoping to hear that flights are continuing as usual. To clarify, here is the current situation:

Significant increase in demand for flights on Air Haifa since foreign airlines announced flight cancellations
Haifa Mayor told Haifa: "We at Air Haifa, the airline of the North, have committed not to raise our flight prices during the month of May, out of an aspiration to continue providing reliable service at fair prices to the Israeli public. We have witnessed a significant increase in demand for flights since foreign airlines announced the cancellation of flights, but It is important for us not to take advantage of situations like this.We strive to ease the burden on the Israeli public and alleviate concerns during this challenging time. As part of this commitment, we continue to offer flights at fair prices alongside a flexible cancellation policy, designed to give travelers peace of mind.
During the month of May, Air Haifa offers a variety of daily flights at particularly affordable prices: starting at $59 to Larnaca, starting at $99 to Athens, and starting at NIS 179 to Eilat. Cyprus, for example, is also a stopover and many passengers have already booked connecting flights to the next destination through us, for example to London. Currently, there are 3 aircraft operating in the company's fleet, a fourth aircraft is scheduled to be delivered during the summer, and a fifth aircraft is expected to be delivered at the end of the year.
Here's an idea that will cost you NIS 0 and will allow you to give your children a very enjoyable vacation:
We find a family from another city in Israel, Eilat, Tel Aviv, in the Galilee, Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee – and swap houses for two weeks or even a month.
The children will enjoy a new environment to discover and travel in, you can have fun without flights, and unlike hotels, it won't cost you anything.
This is very common in the world, and for those who don't have money to fly or stay in hotels, swapping houses for vacations is an ideal solution for traveling for a long period of time with children, but also for young people and couples who are swapping apartments.
