(live here) – Residents are reporting repeated incidents of vandalism at bus stops across the city, including smashing windows and causing significant damage to municipal infrastructure. This is not an isolated incident, but a series of incidents – a worrying phenomenon that occurs even in broad daylight.
Michal, a resident of the city, tells Live that last Saturday (17/5/25) in the morning, she was out for a walk with her son, when she suddenly noticed a broken bus stop on Operation Yonatan Street. "Shards of glass were scattered everywhere after the glass at the stop was shattered," she describes. "Later, a neighbor told me that at 6 a.m. the stop was still intact - which means the vandalism occurred between XNUMX a.m. and XNUMX p.m., in broad daylight."

Michal immediately reported to the municipal hotline. According to her, a municipal team arrived on the scene in a short time, cleared the glass and left the station clean and safe for use. “They told me that this was the second call they had received that day, with a similar incident,” she adds. Later in the day, another resident, Tal Shen, noticed at another station nearby – this time on Harel Street, that it had suffered similar damage.
"It's very worrying that someone would allow themselves to commit such acts of vandalism, and in broad daylight," says Tal. "Today it's a bus stop, tomorrow it could be something more serious. I think we need to increase patrols and the presence of mobile vehicles on the streets, and in addition, use the cameras that already exist to locate the person who did it and make sure they pay the price."

Tal would like to positively note the activity of the municipality teams: "The municipality workers arrived quickly, cleaned up all the broken glass from the sidewalk, the road and the bench at the station. It is important for me to thank them for the quick and professional treatment."
Residents hope that the municipality and the police will increase enforcement and work to locate those responsible, with the aim of putting an end to the repeated damage to public infrastructure and maintaining a safe and pleasant urban space.
Haifa Municipality In response to the report, it was stated: "The Haifa Municipality views with great seriousness any damage to public property, especially at bus stops that serve the residents. These are acts of vandalism that cause damage to property and harm the well-being of residents. The municipality operates using security cameras scattered throughout the city, which are connected to a municipal hotline that operates 24/7. Upon identification of suspected vandalism, surveillance vehicles are dispatched and the incidents are transferred to the police with the aim of bringing those responsible to justice and requiring them to repair the damage.
Recently, following a suspected arson attempt on Yaffe Nof Street, rapid intervention was initiated thanks to the cameras. In this way, cases of damage to street pianos in the center of the Carmel and in the lower city were also handled, as well as attempts to damage the security cameras themselves. The Haifa Municipality will continue to fight resolutely against anyone who commits vandalism throughout the city, and threatens the well-being and safety of residents."

There have also been smashed bus stops in Leon Bloom for a long time.
A complaint and photographs were forwarded to the municipality.
There are cameras.
Nothing happened
Unacceptable helplessness!!!!!!!!!!!
Tin municipality!!!!
There is no action to correct the situation!
When I noticed one hot evening, last week, in the center of the Carmel! That the bus stop had been smashed – I was “shocked”! And thoughtful: Who is this? Why is this? = Not entirely clear…!@ At that time, I found myself as usual “collecting” and “concentrating” the leftovers-“garbage” of “passers-by” & “guests-guests”… who intentionally leave and throw on the ground… in order to dirty and pollute “the beautiful Haifa”…!!!@@@😭
Those who are alert can notice that everything is being done "maliciously": to destroy and "sabotage" the "beauty" and "peace of life" that characterize the city-city = "metropolis" of the northern district - BEAUTIFUL HAIFA✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
Hey, you're trying to shut up people who talk about Arabs. Yes, Arabs are terrorists, that's exactly how they should be pushed into the sea.
Everyone knows very well that these Swedes from Haifa are committing the acts of vandalism. Kahane Tzedek Transfer is now.
I wonder who these are. Hard to guess? Not at all.
These are the same people who drive at night with loud exhausts all over Haifa. Anyone who doesn't hear the loudness of the noise can't understand what they're talking about.
You have to be there to understand and you have to understand to be there.
It would be helpful if there were tours throughout the city and not just after people call to report the incident.
It is not wise to be a hero only after the war...
You scored a goal!!!
Wearing black, a cropped haircut with a front hair dome, accentuating deep bass throats similar to terrorists
A national problem, well, what else is beautiful, you guessed it?
Absolutely right!@👀
Because all over the world you see dozens of police officers roaming the streets and markets and tourist centers. Here in Israel you just long to see one police officer. Everyone sits in offices with cell phones. Too bad.
Under the auspices of Iran. To send terrorists among us to prison for many years.
Arab terrorists do it. Place cameras and punish severely.
Bus stop windows were also shattered on Hana Senesh and Leon Blum streets. The municipality cleaned up the broken glass but did not install new glass.
Did the municipality clean it up????
The fragments are still between the metal pillars!!!!!!!
Among us, the people of Haifa, even terrorism and vandalism are done politely.
Hey Samar
Is it glass or plastic?
What is not clear? Terrorist organizations pay emissaries to harm and corrupt the country. Arson, graffiti, destruction, etc. These offenses should be treated as acts of hostility and not hooliganism.
There are cameras right now for the perpetrators to mitigate their punishment because
The damages will only get worse if I stop the punishment they receive will be light. A fine and a stint in prison is the most desirable way to learn a lesson.
Absolutely right…!!!@@@👀🙏
Absolutely right…!!!@@@👀😭
In my opinion. Frequent police patrols
And the city police will help a little.
to prevent vandalism. Also
Installing cameras around might help.
Education? If they reached the point of vandalism,
Will not answer.
