Good news for the residents of the Hadar neighborhood. At the beginning of this coming July, the neighborhood Route 4 route will be extended, connecting the streets of the lower part of Hadar to the center of the neighborhood. The extension of the line will, for the first time, allow the residents of the streets bordering this part to have transportation access to the center of the Hadar neighborhood and the Talpiot market, and it may even reduce the existing parking shortage on these streets.
With the implementation of the route extension at the beginning of July, the line will depart from Ibn Gvirol Street, and from there it will continue to Hashomer Street and Talpiot Market, where it is expected to stop at two stops - one on Yehiel Street and the other on Sirkin Street. Following its route, the line will return back to the lower part of the neighborhood.
Residents of the Lower Hadar area, known for its narrow streets, will for the first time benefit from accessible and available public transportation, which did not exist there until today.

The extension of the route is the first step in the plan to improve the neighborhood bus lines in Hadar. According to the full plan, which is planned to be implemented in the future, the line is also expected to continue to the streets in the upper part of the Hadar neighborhood and pass through the streets: Masada, Hillel, Tiberias and Ben-Yehuda. This will in fact restore the old Line 4 route, which has been operating for many years and connects the lower part of the Hadar neighborhood to the upper part.

This initiative is another example of successful cooperation between the Municipality of Haifa and the Hadar Community Council, who together are working to develop the Hadar neighborhood and to promote the urban renewal process taking place there and gaining momentum in recent years.
