Firefighting and rescue was handed over to Hai Pa
Alongside the preparations for the Lag BaOmer bonfires, routine events continue, and a little while ago firefighters from the Haifa station, under the command of Chief Yossi Cohen, were dispatched to a report of fire and smoke coming from the windows of an apartment on the second floor of a residential building on Shalom Sharabi Street in Haifa.
The first team confirmed the report and began rapid operations to search for trapped people. Additional teams that arrived later located the source of the fire, took control of the fire, and cleared the smoke.
The incident ended without casualties but with damage to the apartment. Later, an arson investigator will arrive at the scene in an attempt to understand what caused the fire.
