(live here) – The police told the newspaper: As part of an intelligence activity by the Ministry of Intelligence at the Zevulun station, a Haifa resident was arrested at Ben Gurion Airport, suspected of having been a courier for smuggling drugs from abroad. Upon landing at Ben Gurion Airport, the suspect was detained for examination, and a search of her luggage found approximately 4 kg of substances suspected of being marijuana seeds, which had been concealed inside stuffed animals.
Following her arrest, a search was conducted at her home in Haifa, during which a large and varied quantity of substances suspected of being dangerous drugs was seized, including: cocaine, MDMA, LSD, crystal meth, hashish, cannabis, other psychedelic substances and candies containing a substance suspected of being a drug. Cash, a cell phone and suspicious packaging were also seized.
The suspect, a Haifa resident in her 30s, was arrested for questioning, at the end of which she was imprisoned. The court granted the police request and extended the suspect's detention until 15.05.25.
The Israel Police views the phenomenon of drug smuggling seriously and will act decisively, in Israel and in cooperation with other bodies, to locate, arrest and prosecute those involved - from the courier to the highest echelons.
