The Football Association turned yesterday (Monday, 12/5/2025) to Itai Rake, CEO of the Hapoel Laos Media Haifa football club, with a request to prepare for the likely and major possibility that the Reds team from Haifa will also play in the Conference League qualifiers next season, and among other things, it must also find a home stadium to host the games, as teams from abroad have not come to play in Israel due to the ongoing war for over a year and a half, and the team will not be able to host its home games at its home field at the "Sammy Ofer" Stadium in Haifa.

The association's appeal to football came after the Reds' 0:1 victory earlier this week over Beitar Jerusalem. This victory narrowed the gap from fourth place to just two points and made the possibility of the team taking part in a European competition very real.

The difference could later be reduced to just one point, if, in the hearing expected soon, the Football Association's disciplinary court deducts a point from Beitar Jerusalem.
