During the moving ceremony, which was hosted by City Council member and holder of the Absorption and Aliyah portfolio, Tamar Aviv, readings and singing were combined, musical pieces were performed by musicians from the Tirat Carmel Conservatory and wreaths were laid, and the youth held a roll of honor. In addition, drawings by children from the city's residents on the theme "80 Years of the Great Victory" were displayed.

Mayor, Dudu Cohen: "Today we celebrate Victory Day over Nazi Germany, a victory achieved thanks to your tremendous heroism and unimaginable sacrifice. About a million and a half Jews fought in the ranks of the Allies, and many of them fell in battle. These warriors paved the way for the liberation of the Jewish people and the establishment of the State of Israel. As Mayor of Tirat Carmel, I am committed to perpetuating your legacy for future generations. Your story is a story of courage, hope, and determination, and is a source of inspiration for each and every one of us. We will continue to preserve your heroism and legacy, tell your story, and educate future generations about the values of freedom and justice."
