At the heart of the Neve Yosef Community Center, a unique club has been beating for three years – the HAVB Club, which has become a warm and vibrant home for the elderly population in East Haifa. Twice a week, about 60 senior citizens, residents of nearby neighborhoods, gather to enjoy a rich variety of activities that nurture the body and mind, and create a supportive and connecting community.
The L.A.B. Club is much more than a meeting place; it is Significant living space Responding to the needs and desires of seniors. The weekly program includes adapted sports activities, group dynamics workshops, enriching lectures, and creative workshops that invite each participant to rediscover their abilities and talents.

Beyond the content, The real magic lies in the family atmosphere.: The regular meetings provide a sense of belonging and security, strengthen bonds between participants and alleviate the feeling of loneliness. "I came to the club three years ago and my life has changed since then," says Rachel. "I found real friends here – we laugh, support each other and feel like family."
The club also offers Fascinating trips around the country, in collaboration with the community center's hiking group, and intergenerational meetings with kindergarten children - which add an exciting layer of community connection, inspiration, and renewal.
And let's not forget the Digital world: Digital literacy workshops, funded by the Class Action Fund, provide important tools for using smartphones, computers and applications – which allow participants to stay connected, learn and manage their lives more independently and efficiently.
The influence of the LaB club is clearly felt – Not only for the participants, but also for the entire communityThis is a model of intergenerational connection, of a living and breathing community, of the possibility of aging with dignity – and living with meaning and joy.

The "Heart" Club is operated with dedication by Rona Lazar - Director of the Community Department, and Atara Cohen - Director of the Clubs and Recreation Department, with love, investment, and most importantly - with all their heart and soul.
Thanks to them, the club has become a warm home and one big family, bustling with life, joy, and a community embrace.
Thank you to our partners, the Welfare and Social Services Department at the Haifa Municipality, for their trust and support along the way.
In order for us to continue operating, expand the circle of participants, and maintain the quality and warmth that characterize the LB Club, we need the open hearts of additional partners along the way. Any support, encouragement, or involvement can make a difference.
Oh what nostalgia
I would come as a little girl with my grandmother.
We would watch a movie, go on a trip, have a class.
Real fun
As if it were yesterday
Today, I myself became a grandmother 7 months ago.
Well done to you all.
Continue in the industry
And only health
