(haipo) – Since the fall of Syria, the security of the Syrians living in its territory has been undermined. The Syrians, as is known, believe in total loyalty to the regime that rules where they live. Thus, the Druze were loyal to the Assad regime and accordingly, they are now being slaughtered by the jihadist terrorist al-Julani and his men.
It is important to remember that a jihadist does not change his skin, and all the political maneuvering in disguise will not replace the murderous worldview associated with ISIS. The massacre that al-Julani's jihadists committed against the Alawites during April 2025 and the massacre they are currently committing against the Druze, shows the general attitude of his people.
The dilemma facing the State of Israel
The State of Israel is observing what is happening and considering its next steps. Under pressure from the Israeli Druze, who are loyal to the State of Israel, the State of Israel is currently faced with the possibility of granting protection to the territory where the Druze are located in southern Syria, up to the Druze Mountains.
This is not an easy option to implement, as the area is saturated with various factions, some of them armed, and is not controlled by the Druze. If that were not enough, the Druze have never had a desire to control a territory, but rather to be loyal to the government.
The question facing the Druze is – who in the world can they be loyal to, since the government is currently slaughtering them? Will they decide to try and run their own civilian government under Israeli security protection?
It's hard to know.
Establishing Israeli control
The Druze Mountain is located 82 kilometers from Israeli territory. Just to put it into perspective, this is a distance equal to the distance between Haifa and Tel Aviv. This is a very large area. The purple area on the attached map more or less indicates the area where the Druze are located, with its borders being unclear and in fact not really existing.
Israel had already captured the Golan Heights from the Syrians in 1967, thereby giving strategic depth to the residents of the Galilee and expanding the country's territory to the Golan Heights, turning it into a settled and productive area.
If Israel were to declare this area under Israeli security protection (a low chance of this happening), it would be a significant expansion of the country's borders, but also a very complex challenge, both in terms of security and in the international arena, which would see the Israeli occupation as an illegitimate step.
Another aspect worth remembering: When Israel occupied the Golan Heights, the Arab residents fled, leaving the area virtually uninhabited. It is difficult to imagine a similar situation in southern Syria now, involving the expulsion of residents from the various tribes, while leaving the Druze residents.
Control of the Druze enclave in Syria
The Israeli government will be required to make difficult and quick decisions here. Providing air support to the Druze is limited. Controlling the ground forces and occupying a field cell is complex and will require sacrifices from us. In addition, such control has heavy costs. The chance that the Druze will succeed in maintaining a field cell on their own, with Israeli support from afar, is also possible, but it is not a high chance, since most of them have no military training.
The Israeli security concept includes fencing the country's borders. If Israel decides to annex the territory, or part of it, in a manner similar to what was done in the Golan Heights, fencing will also be required, and it will last for years.
The chance of this currently seems low.
time will tell.
The State of Israel must occupy and annex the areas: the Syrian Golan, the Khoran region to the State of Israel, and in the Syrian Golan and Khoran, establish Jewish cities, Jewish settlements and settlements, Jewish kibbutzim, and of course, the Hermon Crown (the peak of the Syrian Hermon) which is 2814 meters high, the Syrian Golan and Khoran will remain under the control of the State of Israel forever, forever, permanently.. and the Hermon Mountains will be the Alps of the Land of Israel. The Jewish Agency must absorb all Jewish men and women from all of Spain and Portugal, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Cuba, and the Khoran and Syrian Golan region and restore all the women and men to their Jewishness or return all the women and men to their Jewish roots or convert some of them, so that we can increase the number of Jews to 25000000 million Jews worldwide.
If Israel does not protect the Druze from the reach of the criminal Al-Golani, Israel will be next in line. Al-Golani is an ISIS man, and if the Druze in Sweida are protected, they can protect Israel so that there will be no new October 7th.

Israeli proxy
After Iran sent octopus tentacles throughout the Middle East, causing us all trouble, now it is time for us to establish a pro-Russian presence throughout the Middle East and think like a superpower. The Sunni Nawa (Ha-Horan) district – can be expelled or a district can be created in the south along the Yarmouk River and the Lebanese border that will allow life for the Druze community along the way with access to the sea through Israel. After that, it is worth checking out a partnership with the Kurds, their armament against Turkey and Ahmad al-Shaara.
Manipulative article without understanding regional history…
Do the Druze want to embroil us in the civil war in Syria? We don't lack trouble, you say?
It makes more sense to conquer southern Yemen from the Houthis.
Yesterday, May 2.5.2025, XNUMX, before publishing the article, I did a test on Google's AI, German (which always needs to be checked, believe me from experience), on this very subject. Two important points:
1. The southwestern area of this "enclave" or if it is not included, it will be "enclosed" from the southwest, is the Daraa region, which is almost entirely Sunni (this is the well-known Hurran), which today also has a large refugee population, and in total, if I remember correctly, it is a population of about one million two hundred. Why us?!
2. In this enclave of the massive Druze presence in Syria, again if I remember correctly, about half a million people, not including the Jarmana area on the outskirts of southern Damascus, where a concentration of Druze also made the news in connection with Israel's announcement that it would have to defend it, there are more Sunnis than Druze (around a million). This means that in order to somehow control the "Druze area," Israel would have to control a Sunni area of about two million or two and a half million Sunnis, who are heavily influenced by rebel and extremist movements that even started the uprising in Syria in the previous decade. Again, why and how do we do that?
Don't you always go with the strong?
That Syria was strong, they were on their side
Now that it has been shaken and Israel is strong, they are on its side.
It's just interesting, in an imaginary and frightening scenario, to think about what would have happened if on 7/10 the Syrians had also joined the Palestinians and invaded Israel from all directions and succeeded in defeating and conquering us. Who would they then be loyal to?
To the Muslim Brotherhood, Abbas... the king of the left!
Regarding the Druze Mountains, unlike the Golan Heights, there has never been a territory belonging to the Land of Israel and we have no pretensions that it will become one. The Druze Mountains should receive protection from the UN – just as they know how to preach that they will send security forces there and establish UNIFIL to protect the Druze.
After the US fled Iraq in disgrace, it has no tools to intervene in Syria. This is what happens when you make gross mistakes and Obama created ISIS by releasing their murderers from a prison in Basra. Just as the left demanded Shalit's release at any cost and created the October 7.10 massacre by releasing Sinwar and his murderers.
The UN? This is about ISIS, not Egypt.
A. Israel did not occupy the Golan Heights in 1967. Jewish settlements in the Golan existed long before anyone called themselves "Syrian." Gamla was a name from the Bible and the Golan was part of the Hasmonean Kingdom, and during the Byzantine period there were dozens of Jewish settlements in Gamla.
Syria has never had historical control over the Golan Heights. The often-used Quneitra is a Circassian city. The British with Australian forces occupied the Golan.
The Golan Heights was liberated from Syria after 21 years of holding it as a base for terror against Israel. The same must be done in Gaza. End the Gaza front, humanitarian evacuation and turn it into an area for infrastructure such as desalination, power stations, sewage treatment and an airport. It is time to also mention Jabal Yehud in Gaza –
Yes, there was a Jewish community there too before anyone called themselves Syrian, or belonged to "Little Syria" and after that all the other false names for the Land of Israel.
The Druze in the Golan Heights refused to show loyalty to Israel because of the flawed perception of Israeli governments, which are disconnected from Middle Eastern reality, that in exchange for territory they receive peace. Begin (Likud) was the first to pave the way for this perception. Therefore, the Druze acted as they did.
As an Israeli who has been serving in the reserves for 8 months, and a right-winger and Zionist, I demand that the Druze land be protected with all force. Let's send in soldiers.
You'd be surprised how many of us would happily enlist in this just war. Let them touch the Druze.
All these years, most of the Druze in the Golan Heights in Israeli territory did not recognize Israel at all and considered themselves residents of Syria and were proud of their country (an enemy state of Israel, it should be noted).
Now even the Druze in the Syrian part are suddenly in conflict with the Syrian regime and "love Israel"?
How naive can you be?
In my opinion, Israel is not allowed to intervene in the conflicts of other countries, and certainly not enemy countries, nor should it change strategies because of various demonstrations within Israel or yes/no conditions for enlistment in the IDF.
