Message from fire and rescue services: Due to extreme conditions that increase the likelihood of fires developing and spreading, the Commissioner of Fire and Rescue for Israel, Rabbi Tafsar Eyal Caspi, signed an order prohibiting the lighting of bonfires and fires throughout the country from Monday, April 28.4.2025, 07.5.2025, until Wednesday, May XNUMX, XNUMX at midnight.
The public is asked to follow the provisions of the order.
It should be emphasized that during the coming Wednesday and Thursday, extreme weather conditions are expected, including strong winds, intense heat, and significant dryness.
Against the backdrop of this forecast, there is an extremely high risk of fires breaking out, especially in open areas, forests, and woodlands.
We call on the general public to act responsibly and follow the instructions:
- Fires may not be lit in open areas, including technical work that creates ignition or open fire in an open area and burning plants and trimmings.
- Be sure to light a barbecue only in permitted places approved by the local authority.
- Avoid throwing flammable waste in open areas – with an emphasis on coals, cigarettes, and other flammable materials.
- In an emergency, dial 102 for firefighters.
In order to protect human life, property, and nature, we ask that you show responsibility and obey the instructions.
