Tirat Carmel will celebrate the 77th Independence Day of the State of Israel with celebrations that will take place on the main stage in the Gesher HaMitarim parking lot, on Wednesday, April 30.4.2025, 20, starting at 00:XNUMX PM.
The list of artists who will perform includes Noa Kirel, Moshe Peretz and Michal HaKeta. As is tradition in the city, this year too, emphasis will be placed on the combination of local bands and artists. The evening will be hosted by Karin Cabasa (Channel 13 and Radio 99.5). Children will also enjoy the amusement park facilities that will be set up in the complex with a "skip the line" arrangement upon presentation of a certificate; and of course, food and soft drink stands at discounted prices, some of which are intended for people with allergies.
The event will be accessible to people with disabilities, and will include disabled services, disabled parking areas, designated seating areas for the disabled and adapted signage, and audio systems will be distributed to anyone who requests them. In addition, the evening will be accompanied by a sign language interpreter, for the hearing-impaired and deaf public. It is recommended to arrive at the venue early.
There will be no fireworks display this year either, out of public sensitivity towards the wounded, disabled IDF soldiers, and civilians who were injured during the October 7 War, as well as in light of the possible impact of the explosion noise on post-traumatic stress disorder victims. Instead of a fireworks display, a spectacular pyrotechnics show will be held.
A quiet area for families with special needs:
Following the great success of the quiet area at Purim events, and as part of the implementation of the values of integration and inclusion led by the municipality and the community center, a special area will also be established on the eve of Independence Day for families with special needs. In the area, children and families will enjoy craft tables, mats, mattresses and beanbags for sitting, surprises and more.
In addition, noise-canceling headphones can be rented at the Social Services Division (71 Weizmann St., Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays), or by prior arrangement with Or Dona Cohen, Director of the Family Supplemental Center, tel. 052-5568811. You must bring an ID. At the event itself, you will be able to rent headphones by depositing an ID, but please note that the number of headphones is limited.
Temporary traffic arrangements and free parking in Blue and White on the eve of the holiday:
Attention residents and drivers, from Sunday until the night between Wednesday and Thursday, temporary traffic and parking arrangements will apply in the area of the main stage and nearby streets - it is recommended to follow the municipality's announcements.
Reminder: Parking in the regulated spaces in the city, marked in blue and white, will be free during the eve of Independence Day and will not be enforced. It should be emphasized that the municipal parking inspectorate will continue to enforce parking against vehicles parked illegally, including parking in red and white, parking at bus stops, parking in spaces reserved for the disabled, and any parking that endangers pedestrians or obstructs traffic.
Congratulations to the mayor and his team for their work and sensitivity to post-traumatic stress disorder.
Well done!
