The Police (North) Rescue Unit "Galil-Carmel" told Lahi Pa News Corporation:
On Sunday, 27/4/25, the Galilee-Carmel rescue unit was called to rescue a 17-year-old boy from Jerusalem who had fallen from a waterfall while hiking in the Yagur Stream. A report received by the unit suggested that the boy had a broken leg.
An initial assessment conducted by telephone by the unit's doctor found that the boy was in severe pain and unable to walk, but was fully conscious and had no external bleeding. It was decided to leave the boy at the scene until the rescue team arrived.

The unit's parachuting (climbing, gliding, and rescue) and medical teams joined the injured man. The parachuting team built an advanced rope system that enabled a safe and controlled rescue. The unit's medic provided initial medical treatment, which included immobilizing and bandaging the leg.
The boy was evacuated from the stream on a stretcher and transferred for further medical treatment by a team of United Hatzalah paramedics.
