A heavy mourning fell tonight (Saturday night, April 26.4.2025, 61) on the family of Chabad emissaries in the city of Haifa with the painful news of the passing of Rabbi Moshe Dov Ginsburg, who was the Rebbe's emissary to the city of Haifa and the director of the central Chabad house in the city of Haifa for many years. Rabbi Ginsburg, the late, worked for many years with dedication on behalf of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, with faith in the immortality of his life and the proclamation of the gospel of redemption, at the age of XNUMX at the time of his death.

Rabbi Ginzburg was born in Bnei Brak to his father, Rabbi Shalom Yehuda Leib Ginzburg, and his mother, Mrs. Golda. After his marriage to his wife, Mrs. Hannah, daughter of Rabbi Aharon Mordechai Silberstrom of Jerusalem, he was asked by Rabbi Jeremiah Yehuda Leib Schildkreutz to come and act as the Rebbe's emissary in the city of Haifa, and after receiving the Rebbe's consent and blessing, he arrived in the city of Haifa.
His main activity began with the foundation of a Chabad house in the Hadar Carmel neighborhood, and after six months he also established his residence in Kiryat Sprinzak. He was appointed rabbi of the "Heichal Hana" synagogue in the neighborhood. At the same time, he continued to serve as the Rebbe's emissary in the Hadar neighborhood and the director of Chabad activity in the entire city for many years.

Over the years, he has brought more than twenty-five more shluhim to the city, working in various neighborhoods of the city. He also operated the Beit Tamhvi, a soup kitchen in the city, where dozens of elderly, needy, and underprivileged people dine every day. For his contribution, he also received a Medal of Honor from Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav.
