Is that true? The dome of the Baha'i Temple in Haifa is painted white? Not the gold color that has been familiar for about 90 years? Indeed, the dome was painted white during part of the period when renovations were carried out on the site for about two and a half years, ending in the spring of 2011. During this time, the blooming gardens from the top of the mountain to the German colony were also "renovated." During the renovation work, the dome was covered in a brown blanket.
After the renovations were completed, the site was mistakenly called "The Hanging Gardens." A kind of imitation of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, which are one of the wonders of the world. It would be more correct to say: "The Terraced Gardens."
In 2008, the Baha'i site was declared a "World Heritage Site" by UNESCO.
