Very sad😢
There are beggars at the intersection who hang around at a dangerous intersection and a highway between the cars and are not very careful. I have seen cases of almost accidents because of them.
Apparently the beggar was not lucky this time.
Not to mention the motorcycle races that take place in the Haganah Demon every night.
Dangerous intersection, when will they build a pedestrian bridge there?
The intersection is not dangerous. Pedestrians who cross the red light on their own accord are the problem, and there are many who cross irresponsibly.
147 deaths in traffic accidents since the beginning of the year.
In 2023, we only reached this number in June! We are in the middle of April.
A real war is taking place on the roads. The overcrowding is deadly. Courier motorcycles travel against the direction of traffic or zig-zag between vehicles, endangering panicked drivers. Pedestrians are not given sidewalks.
Safe roads and safe crosswalks. No traffic calming. No traffic police. No taking serial offenders off the roads. Trucks driven by criminals with dozens of previous convictions.
The situation is catastrophic.
2023 – 361 deaths
2024 – 439 deaths
At the current rate, this year there could be up to 500 deaths in traffic accidents.
The situation for pedestrians in Haifa is the worst in Israel.
Since the beginning of the year, 7 pedestrians have been killed in Haifa.
The mayor allows illegal parking on roads, on sidewalks, blocking sidewalks that force pedestrians to go out onto the roads to bypass parked vehicles, there are no traffic police and municipal enforcement is powerless. People park and drive illegally.
Tens of thousands of vehicles enter and pass through Haifa or spend their time here in wild driving and "competitions" on the coastal road. The situation must make headlines every day.
