About 30,000 visitors came to museums during the holiday
During the Passover holiday, from 13-19.4.25, no less than 30,000 people, women, children and girls, visited Haifa museums. This was a record number of visitors, who enjoyed new exhibitions, guided tours and a variety of games and creative activities. During all days of the holiday, admission to the museums, as well as participation in the various activities, were free, sponsored by Bank Poalim.

The National Maritime Museum was the biggest attraction, with nearly 3,000 visitors a day, mainly families with children, who took part in guided tours of the various exhibitions and various creative workshops. Visitors also enjoyed the new exhibitions: "Fish and Fishermen" and "We Are Building a Port Here." The Haifa Museum of Art opened its new exhibition season at the beginning of the month, which includes three exhibitions: "The Voice of Africa," "Workbench," and "The Surface." During the holiday, there were tutorials in Hebrew, Arabic, and Russian for the general public in the various exhibitions, as well as creative workshops in different languages. Thanks to a successful collaboration with the Haifa Theater, many families enjoyed watching a play combined with a creative workshop.

Thousands of visitors came to the Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art to view the group exhibition "The Wave Effect" and participate in the various workshops. In addition, the Tikotin Cinema, which operated 3 times a week and screened quality films from all over the world, attracted many visitors. The "Susita" exhibition in question continues at the Haifa City Museum until the end of this coming weekend (26/4/25), and many visitors took advantage of the last opportunity to see it during the holiday before it closes. The Hermann Struck Museum is displaying the "Shade of a Date Tree" exhibition on the occasion of Hermann Struck's 100th birthday, which is expected to close at the end of May. During the holiday, a unique print workshop was held at the museum, which attracted many visitors.

According to Yotam Yakir, CEO of Haifa Museums:
30,000 visitors is definitely a record number that has not been seen in recent years, and I attribute it to the rich and diverse content we offered visitors – new exhibitions, guided tours in different languages, many activities and workshops suitable for children, youth and even adults. The museums were open throughout the day during the holiday. We also organized with reinforced teams and made special efforts to give visitors a pleasant and interesting hospitality experience. I thank the museum employees, who did a wonderful job, with love, dedication and professionalism.
The museums were really crowded in buildings that were too small. For example, we were at the Maritime Museum. There was only one elevator and the stairs were really small. So why not build large new buildings like the rest of the world that would also attract tourists?
