As you may recall, just recently, in the Greens' last home game held at the "Sami Ofer" Stadium in Haifa, the Greens fans returned to the stands, when it was a home game against the Reds from the capital of the Negev, a team against Hapoel Ba Sheva, after over two months of fighting and a prolonged struggle by the Maccabi Haifa Football Club, the Israel Police, and the various Maccabi Haifa fan organizations.

The "Green Monkeys" organization announced today (Thursday, 17/4/2025) to its fans and Green friends that it appears that these things and struggles are not going to end soon, as the police have announced and informed them that they will not allow cheering equipment to be brought into the upcoming home game against Maccabi Netanya, which will take place in a game that will start at 20:15 PM at the "Sami Ofer" Stadium in Haifa at the beginning of next week (Sunday, 20/4/2025).

The Green Monkeys organization announced on its Facebook page, below: "Less than two weeks ago we all saw the pictures from the march before the game against Be'er Sheva. From a march of thousands of fans, who came to cheer on Maccabi, it turned into a battlefield and brutal violence by Haifa police officers, with 12 fans, more than half of whom were minors, being arrested at the end of the day.

The Haifa station's declaration of intent did not end with the march. A few minutes after the opening whistle, the police decided that the drums were not approved, and issued an ultimatum – either the drums come down or we enter the stands to take them down ourselves. After 10 minutes, the ultimatum changed to the grandstand's amplification system, with the same condition – either you disconnect it yourself or we will take care of it and enter the stands.
So if there are fans who have questioned the police's intentions in recent weeks, we hope that the events in the previous game, and the ban on bringing in cheering equipment on Sunday without any reason, make you understand that its goal is clear - to end the era of cheering stands at Avi Ran Stadium.
The complete silence (!) from everyone about what happened to our fans in the march against Be'er Sheva, as well as the police's conduct during the game, as well as the current decision regarding the ban on bringing equipment into the game on Sunday without any reason, proves that change can only come from us and together, the huge Maccabi audience, which is the main victim of the police's conduct, and ironically also finances this whole thing.
No saga, respect the law and police instructions!
What is this lack of journalistic neutrality?
Under no circumstances should violence be allowed to raise its head.
On the contrary, to make the punishment more severe and relegate teams with violent fans or players
