(haipo) – On Wednesday night, 16/4/25, medical teams treated an 80-year-old woman with injuries to her upper body, after she was hit by a vehicle on Yaakov Hazan Street in Haifa.

Rescue organization drivers were called to Yaakov Hazan Street in Haifa following a report of a car accident.
Together with MDA paramedics, the drivers provided medical treatment to an 80-year-old woman with injuries to her upper body, and she was evacuated in moderate condition for further treatment at Rambam Hospital in the city.
Senior rescue medic Avi Epstein who arrived first on the scene reports:
When I arrived at the scene of the traffic accident, I found a pedestrian, a woman in her 80s, suffering from injuries to her upper body after being hit by a vehicle. Together with MDA paramedics, we provided her with initial medical treatment, including immobilization and dressings, and she was evacuated in moderate condition to continue receiving medical treatment in the trauma room at Rambam Hospital in the city.
MDA informed Lahi Pa:
Tonight at 23:14 PM, a report was received at MDA's 101 hotline in the Carmel area of a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle on Yaakov Hazan Street in Haifa. MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated an 81-year-old woman in moderate condition with injuries to her face and limbs to Rambam Hospital.
140 deaths in traffic accidents by mid-April, 200 moderately to seriously injured.
