Over the next two weeks, starting on Wednesday, April 9, 4, proactive maintenance work is planned at the Bazan complex. As a result of the work, torch activity of varying intensity is expected. Hahn: "A spit in the public's face"

Avihu Hahn, chairman of the Haifa Bay Cities Association for Environmental Protection, deputy and acting mayor of Haifa, said in response to Bazan's announcement: "This is a spit in the public's face. Instead of a holiday of freedom, we get another week of slavery to a polluting industry.".

According to a report in the ZANN, the torch operation is a result of the planned shutdown of the monomer facilities for the purpose of performing maintenance work that cannot be performed during regular work.

BZN reported on the quantities of fuel to be pumped into the torch that appear in the attached table, but added that the above quantities are only approximate quantities. BZN also announced that the company "reserves the right to change and be flexible in pumping the quantities according to operational needs and activity needs during the work."

What is happening here is an ongoing scandal, and we can stop embellishing it. The Israeli government continues to spread pollution in the heart of a populated area, without taking responsibility, without transparency, and without any real intention to change.
