(haipo) – A huge swarm of bees entered an apartment on Kadima Street in Haifa this afternoon (Tuesday, 8/4/25), through the ventilation opening of the toilet stall. Tens of thousands of bees flooded the yard and then the toilet stall. Some of them also invaded the apartment itself. The event began with a black cloud of bees that covered the sky (see the video). Within a short time, the cloud disappeared and tens of thousands of bees entered the apartment and settled in the toilet stall towards nightfall. The shocked residents were forced to call the "Red Bee Shield" association in order to remove the swarm, save the bees (which are in danger of extinction) and prevent danger to the household members.
A swarm of bees in the heart of a residential apartment – a rare but natural phenomenon
The residents of the apartment were exposed to an unusual phenomenon: a cloud of bees that entered their home and settled inside the toilet. This was a huge amount of tens of thousands of bees, which found their way inside through the ventilation hole. Members of the Red Bee Protection Association were called to the scene and explained to the residents that it was not possible to carry out an immediate rescue – the bees become nervous in the evening hours, and a rescue carried out at night could endanger both the household members and the bees themselves. The operation was postponed until the next morning.

Spring and the real reason for the bee colony
In the spring, a natural process occurs that leads to the formation of new swarms. When the original hive becomes overcrowded, the old queen leaves with some of the workers and sets out in search of a new place to establish a swarm. This is a critical stage in the bee life cycle, and it usually occurs in open areas – but often, especially in urban areas, the bees find shelter in cavities in houses, on trees, or behind walls.
Bees – not an enemy but a silent partner in the ecosystem
Beyond the inconvenience experienced by residents, it is important to remember the contribution of bees to nature. Bees are responsible for pollinating flowers, an action that allows fruits and vegetables to grow. In recent years, there has been a sharp decline in the global bee population, due to exposure to chemicals, disease, and the destruction of habitats. Therefore, every swarm that can be saved is important for the survival of the ecosystem – and ultimately for the continued existence of food on our tables.

Red Bee Protection Association – Rescue at the Place of Pest Control
Instead of spraying and destroying the swarm, the Red Bee Protection Association carries out gentle rescue operations, at the end of which the swarm is moved to a safe place where it can continue its life. According to the association, bee colonization is a unique natural wonder, a phenomenon of the "birth" of a new swarm. It is precisely in the sensitive and exposed state of the swarm, when it is looking for a permanent place, that many choose to spray - thereby harming a vital natural process.
Nature also lives within us – the responsibility is ours
Bees that settle in a house are no different from other animals that have found a new place in the city: falcons nesting by a window, swallows on a balcony, a hedgehog in a garden or a ladybug in an electrical box. When we encounter nature in urban spaces – whether it is threatening or fascinating – the choice is ours: whether to reject it with violence or to accept it, and to seek the help of professionals who know how to act sensitively. Bees, despite the fear they arouse, are not an enemy – they are a vital animal that must be protected.
"Red Bee Shield" sounds wonderful 💪
Well done!!
Is there such an organization for humans who are endangered by AI?
Where are they being moved?
I can search Google for Red Bee Shelter. There are many volunteers who will come.
