(haipo) – High to very high air pollution alert – announcement from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Health warn that today (Tuesday, 8/4/25) starting at noon, high air pollution is forecast in all regions of the country.
High to very high air pollution is expected in the Negev and Arava regions, and in the rest of the country, as mentioned, high air pollution is predicted.
Air pollution is caused by high concentrations of respirable particles. Gradual improvement in air quality is predicted during the night.
The high air pollution is the result of a large depression passing through, which is causing dust to be transported from Egypt to our area.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection, in consultation with the Ministry of Health, recommends that sensitive populations, including cardiovascular patients, lung patients, the elderly, pregnant women and children, avoid strenuous physical activity outdoors. The general population is advised to reduce strenuous physical activity outdoors.
The ministry will continue to update the public as needed based on forecast data and data measured at monitoring stations across the country.
