The Greens, Maccabi Haifa, hosted the Reds, Hapoel Haifa, at the "Sami Ofer" Stadium in Haifa for an intriguing Haifa derby match, as part of the top playoff of the 28th round of the Super League.
Following the boycott by Maccabi Haifa fan organizations, only 13,100 spectators showed up and came to the field, in a field that could have been filled with at least 30,000 spectators, which would have added a lot of color and celebrations to the game, especially since it was the Haifa derby.

The game began with the Reds taking control from Haifa, which made it difficult for the Greens to play offensively. It was in the 14th minute, after almost ten minutes of Green control, that the hosts got into the rhythm and managed to get into the first position, when Noam Ben Harosh headed into the box and found Liran Sardel's head.
The midfielder shot but narrowly missed the target of Maccabi Haifa goalkeeper Sherif Kiyof.

Towards the end of the first half, in the 38th minute, a sharp corner kick from Dia Saba caused a commotion on the Hapoel Haifa goal line. Reds goalkeeper Yoav Jarafi did not get a good shot on the ball, and from there it was Kenny Seif who scored the first for Maccabi Haifa, making it 1:0 for the Greens.

During the second half, in the 63rd minute: The Greens scored a goal that met Dean David's head, which hit the Reds' net with great force, but unfortunately for the Greens, the goal was disallowed due to a foul by the striker.
In the 68th minute, Guy Melamed entered the pitch for the Greens, receiving shrill shouts from the Hapoel Haifa fans. A few minutes later, in the 75th minute, Maccabi Haifa doubled its goal advantage, a kick by player Dia Saba was blocked by Hapoel's defense. The rebound went back to Dia Saba, who found Guy Melamed who was nearby. Striker Melamed did not hesitate for a moment and kicked a sharp and direct kick into the corner, determining the winning score of the game 2:0 for Maccabi Haifa.
Maccabi Haifa did its thing, and in a not-so-good game, it scored a V with victory, a huge boost for Barak Bachar's guys.

Meanwhile, it should be noted that Maccabi Haifa star Dia Saba will miss the next round match between Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Be'er Sheva at Sammy Ofer Stadium. Saba received his ninth yellow card this season in the Premier League and will therefore not be able to play.
Saba will be absent from the game against Be'er Sheva, and is scheduled to return to play in the subsequent game against Maccabi Tel Aviv to be held at Bloomfield Stadium in the following round.

I saw Guy Melamed yesterday. He was excellent in the game. Barak Bachar made substitutions that were a waste of time. If Hapoel thinks Maccabi won't win at Hapoel Haifa, they are very wrong.
