Dozens of pirated security cameras installed by criminals in Haifa were seized

(Hai Fa) – Dozens of pirated security cameras were seized, installed by criminal elements in the city of Haifa.

The police told Hai Pa News Corporation:

Coastal District police from the Haifa station dismantled 20 pirated security cameras, which were installed by criminal elements in the city and looked out onto public spaces.

As part of the uncompromising fight against serious crime and those responsible for it, for the sake of public peace and security, Haifa police officers carried out targeted operational activities in the city, as part of enforcement measures to strengthen the rule of law.

As part of the activities, detectives dismantled security cameras that were illegally installed. The cameras violated the privacy of citizens using public spaces and also posed a threat to law-abiding citizens.

In the aforementioned activity, 20 cameras installed on residential buildings were dismantled. Later, Haifa Station detectives will ensure that the cameras are not installed again.

  1. An uncompromising struggle? The only place where they are uncompromising is in beating up protesters during demonstrations (legal, for those who have forgotten).
I hate to tell them, but these cameras are so old and with such low resolution, that even if someone were to draw lines on them or stab someone right on top of them, they wouldn't see anything.
I'm not talking about the fact that the cameras look like they haven't worked in a few years and almost all of them were bought for a shekel and a quarter from AliExpress.
The Benghazi police look exactly like him. Cheeky, violent clowns.

  2. I live on Barak Street in Motzkin.
And there's a building on the street with several cameras that shamelessly film the street.
These are PTZ cameras that have the ability to move 360 degrees.
And sometimes I see them pointing at neighboring houses towards their balconies.

    • Is it now becoming a trend to respond to complaints here?
Find out who installs the cameras, maybe they have an interesting story too.

  3. I'm just rambling:
What about criminals? I will install a camera where I want to feel safe.
Why is everyone allowed and I'm not allowed?

  4. When is it permissible and who is permitted to install security cameras in public areas and stairwells?
If it is perceived as infringing on privacy, then it should be completely and completely prevented in shared homes, and not just among those suspected of being perpetrators of crime.
There is a booming market for pirated installations. Why is there no obligation to report to the police any outdoor camera installed on buildings or balconies, as is customary in many countries, which require all photographic equipment in public areas or common areas in buildings to be reported and approved by the police?
