A moving and meaningful evening in memory of the late Dasha Leitel was held yesterday (Wednesday, 19/3/2025), who was murdered by her husband on March 17, 2023. The evening, under the banner of remembering, learning, and working for change, was held at the Hannah House of the Naamat organization, managed and led by Esti Kassif, with a desire to honor her memory, raise awareness of the issue of violence against women, and strengthen the community in the fight to prevent further cases.

This evening, moving speeches were given by key women who came to support and strengthen them: Alona Sold, Advisor to the Mayor for the Advancement of the Status of Women, Sarit Golan Steinberg, Deputy Mayor of Haifa, and Lara Zinman, Chairwoman of the Organization of Families of Murdered Men and Women and mother of the late Ganit Zinman, who was murdered in Haifa in 1996.

Also part of the event was Yael Baghdadi's fascinating lecture, which dealt with the topic "Safe Connection, Open Heart - How to Raise Children Who Feel Safe to Speak?" The lecture emphasized the importance of good parenting as a key to preventing violence and building a safer society.

During the event, Dr. Daniela Mazor said: "We would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts the Na'amat organization for donating the venue to hold the event, Yael Baghdadi for the important lecture, the Na'amat Confectionery, Sarit Golan Steinberg and Moran Midlik for their generous donation that allowed us to host the participants in a warm and respectful atmosphere. Dasha will no longer be able to make her voice heard, but we are here to remember, remind and act. We hope that this evening will be another step on the path to creating change, preventing violence and building a safer world for every woman."
