A fire broke out in a residential building and caused extensive damage • Fortunately, a disaster was averted

A little while ago (11:00, Thursday 20/3/25) a report was received at the 102 hotline of the Israel Fire and Rescue Service from a citizen who detected flames and smoke coming from a private residential building between 3 floors on Ha'alon Street in Tirat Carmel.

Teams from the Haifa station quickly arrived at the scene of the incident, made contact and acted quickly to extinguish the fire, which was centered in an interior room of the residence, while conducting searches for trapped people.

Thanks to the quick action of the crews, further damage was prevented and there were no casualties in the incident. The residential building itself suffered extensive damage in the rooms adjacent to the fire source, as well as smoke damage.

A fire investigator from the Haifa station is currently conducting an investigation to examine the circumstances that led to the fire.
